 When I was living in Costa Rica, I met a badass woman who I instantly connected with. We did some energy work together, and she said something that surprised even her — she felt we were meant to be friends, and that I was supposed to come to Florida.
At the time, I had never even heard of St. Pete.
A year later, I was searching for a place to plant roots — somewhere that carried the same radiant, soul-filled energy as Costa Rica but was closer to home. I visited California and Arizona, but nothing felt quite right. Then I reconnected with an old friend living in Sarasota who told me, “You should check out Florida.” That conversation reminded me of my Costa Rica friend’s words, so I reached out — and when I learned how close Sarasota was to St. Pete, I felt the pull. I booked a one-way ticket.
Driving into St. Pete for the first time, I saw a mural that read “Be where you are.” Then I spotted the retro SunRunner bus, and something lit up inside me. The colors, the warmth, the creative pulse — it was magnetic. I knew in that moment that the Sunshine City was my home.
Within weeks, I found a furnished efficiency, a spa to work from, and an unstoppable creative flow that began pouring through me. The Sunshine City Tee was the first expression of that awakening — a design born straight from inspiration, joy, and the energy of this magical place.
The response to this tee reminded me what true alignment feels like — not about finding purpose, but about awakening creative genius.
That same spark will become the heart of my future Cretreats — creative retreats designed to help others ignite their own inspiration, align with their truth, and bring their “work in the world” to life.
This design is a love letter to the city that turned the light back on — the Sunshine City that made me remember who I am.
